Who we are

In 1993, what began as a setback for our family soon turned into a life-changing opportunity. After a back injury on the towboats left my father unable to continue his work, he was faced with the challenge of finding a new way to support us. Around that same time, a local fundraiser was being organized, and my grandfather suggested that my father fry fish for the event. Encouraged by family and friends, my father decided to take a chance and give it a try.

The first Friday fish fry was an overwhelming success. With a generous loan from a friend to cover startup costs, my father quickly paid off the debt, restocked the supplies, and the momentum began to build. Before long, 'Fish Haven' was born—a name lovingly chosen by Aunt Dottie. What started as a simple fundraiser transformed into a beloved weekly tradition, with crowds lining up every Friday to enjoy the best fried fish in town.

Fast forward nearly 30 years, my father and I decided it was time to revive our family business. Together, we launched a food trailer to bring our signature fried fish back to the community. The response was incredible, reigniting a dream we’d always shared: to share our family’s fish breading recipe with the world.

Today, we’re proud to offer the same delicious, time-tested breading that has been delighting customers since those early days. It’s more than just a recipe—it’s a story of resilience, family, and the power of community. From our family to yours, we hope our breading helps create unforgettable meals and memories at your table."

Welcome to the Fish Haven legacy.
